JP Ptacek presented the sign plan for the site.  Directional signs and pole sign will remain as existing.  This will reduce the amount of square footage from the building.  Canopies will be added over the order statons and the menu boards will be replaced.

Committee Comments, Questions, Concerns

  • Can you go through the existing conditions photos to show which signs will be removed?  All the signage on the building will be replaced with new and the existing street signage will remain.
  • Are there any visibility issues with your entrance signs?
  • How does McDonald's maintain the signage once installed.
  • Are the entry signs necessary?  They seem to be visual clutter.
  • Will we review the signage/striping on the pavement as part of this signage review?
  • Adjust the spec drawings to reflect the centering of the sign on the rendering.

James Amendola from SCSDC available to provide comment on the sign plan as proposed.  No objections stated.

Motion to approve as presented by all voting members present.
